Toledo Police Explorers
The Toledo Police Explorer program is part of a national program open to young men and women who have an interest in exploring a career in the law enforcement field. The program is available to individuals between the ages of 14 and 21.
Exploring provides educational training programs to young individuals with regard to the purpose, mission, and objectives of law enforcement. The program provides career orientation experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service activities. The primary goals of the program are to help young adults choose a career path within law enforcement and to challenge them to become responsible citizens of their communities and the nation.
The program combines classroom training with opportunities to shoot with a pistol, ride along with police officers, and participate in community policing. Participants will develop:
Participants get involved in local activities and they also have the opportunity to compete with other explorers on national level.
