Administrative Assistant Operations Division

 

Definition:

The Administrative Assistant of the Operations Division reports directly to the Deputy Chief of the Operations Division. The Administrative Assistant aids the Deputy Chief in the day-to-day functioning of the Division.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serves as the Operations Division liaison to Accreditation.

Manages the Department's yearly swimming pool recall program. This includes all Notices & Bulletins, scheduling, overtime approval, and liaison with the Department of Recreation. Manages other special event recall as necessary.

Performs other duties and various tasks as assigned by the Deputy Chief.

Daily duties include processing the flow of information to and from the Deputy Chief. Checking and approving all Overtime Reports, Acting Time Reports, and Requests for Outside Employment.

Reviewing all Response to Resistance Reports, Vehicle Pursuit Forms and Complaint Response Forms for accuracy and completeness, prior to forwarding to the Deputy Chief.

Prepares Notices and Bulletins, bureau Orders, personnel transfers, and memorandums, etc., as necessary for the functioning of the Division.

Maintains assigned division personnel files.

Maintains information files.

Represents and attends meetings as designated by the Deputy Chief.

Responds to requests from the Office of the Chief of Police, and coordinates problem solving activities with the Chief of Police's administrative staff.
