The Department's Auto Theft Unit was implemented to identify and target auto theft-related crimes. The unit operates under the command of Sergeant Paul Hickey, who supervises three investigators. Detective James Couch along with Sergeant Paul Hickey were recognized jointly as Law Enforcement Investigators of Year for 2005 by the Ohio Auto Theft Investigator's Association. Both Officers received the George Isherwood Memorial Award for their continuing fight against auto theft in the State of Ohio.
