The Background Investigation Unit, under the command of Lieutenant Paul Long, conducts background investigations on all potential police and fire candidates, ensuring that only the most qualified people are hired for the job.
The unit continually addresses recruitment issues as they arise throughout the year and responds to inquiries from interested individuals concerning future employment, internships, and observation programs with the Toledo Police Department.
