Rodney Dumond and Lew Hosbach take a break
Computer Resources is tasked with all departmental computer operations and updates. Under the direction of Lieutenant David Holt, technicians Lewis Hosbach and Rodney Dumond have, over the last three years, replaced over 350 computers, purchased 35 printers, replaced 9 analog copiers with new digital copier/printer/fax equipment, posted over 75 police form templates to the network and updated numerous police applications for a more efficient police department. Computer Resources continues to extended the police wireless 802.11b/g network to all of the department's sub-stations, most of the Toledo Area junior high and senior high schools, local Fire Stations, and a number of other strategic sites around the city. The unit is instrumental in the Mobile Date Computer (MDC) project which will enable street officers to complete crime/accident reports and accessing the vast array of departmental resources in the near future.
