For Release on March 30, 2009: Police seek assistance in pizza-driver robbery.
Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about an incident Friday during which a pizza deliveryman was robbed at gunpoint, authorities said. Scott Hymore, 36, who works for Cottage Inn Pizza, went to the Ashland Manor apartment complex at 2030 Ashland Ave. about 3:15 a.m. Friday to deliver two pizzas and a two-liter container of pop. Two men, one of whom had a gun, demanded Mr. Hymore hand over everything he had. He gave the robbers the pizzas, pop, and $50 cash. The assailants then fled upstairs, police said.
Both were described as black and in their mid-20s. The man with the gun was described as 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds, police said.
