Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about a robbery Feb. 17 during which a masked man robbed a North Toledo carryout and threatened to kill the clerk, authorities said. The assailant walked into Sunset Carry Out, 4625 North Detroit Ave., about midnight Feb. 17, pointed a gun at the clerk, and demanded money, police said. The man walked around the counter and emptied an undetermined amount of cash into a plastic grocery bag, a report said. A witness came into the store, saw what was happening, and tried to trip the suspect as he fled out the door. The man stumbled but continued running, police said.
The robber was described as white, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with a thin build.
