Toledo Police Department's

Inspections Unit

The Inspections Unit is responsible for a variety of areas within the department. Several of these include the tracking of officers' outside employment requests; tracking use of force and pursuit statistics; maintaining Wavier of Liability forms that are signed by citizens who participate in the department’s "Ride Along" program; conducting periodic inspections of departmental units; and overseeing and ensuring the department's compliance with accreditation standards.

Additionally, the Inspections Unit collects data from a newly developed e-mail program called the "Citizen Satisfaction Survey", which is located on the homepage of this website. This survey allows any citizen with access to a computer to comment about the police services that are provided by the department. While visiting this website, please take the time to complete this short survey as the opinions you provide are very important to us.
