A working partnership exists between the Toledo Police Department and the Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority (LMHA) through the LMHA Unit. In addition to routine patrol of the various housing complexes in Toledo, officers assist in training LMHA tenants on techniques of residential patrol, a very popular program that was implemented in 1999 and continues today.
