NW Ohio Violent Crime Task Force/Fugitive Task Force

The NW Ohio Violent Crime Task Force/Fugitive Task Force works in cooperation with area, federal, state and local law enforcement agencies in:

• conducting surveillance, developing information, executing sensitive undercover and other investigations relating to locating and apprehending fugitives charged with offenses of violence;
• conducting joint investigations of high profile violent crimes such as bank robberies, kidnapping and extortion occurring within the jurisdictions of the participating agencies;
• securing and executing search and arrest warrants based on investigations conducted by the task force;
• interviews when necessary, suspects, witnesses and victims during investigations.

Currently, there are full and part member agencies working within the task force. Full time members include the Toledo Police Department, the Lucas County Sheriff's Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the United States Marshals, the Ohio Adult Parole Authority and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI).

Part-time members include the Sylvania Police Department, the Sylvania Township Police Department, the Oregon Police Department, the Ottawa Hills Police Department, the State of Ohio Fire Marshal's Office, the Toledo Fire Investigation Unit, the Toledo/Lucas County Port Authority and the United States Secret Service.
