Some of the crimes investigated by Crimes Against Persons
Homicide
- The unlawful taking or a human life, or the unlawful termination of another’s pregnancy.Assault Definitions expanded;
Felonious Assault-No person shall knowingly cause serious physical harm to another, or attempt to cause serious physical harm to another, or their unborn by means of a deadly weapon.
Aggravated Assault- No person while under the influence of sudden passion or in a fit of rage brought on by serious provocation reasonably sufficient to incite the person into using deadly force shall knowingly: (a) cause serious physical harm to another, or their unborn (b) cause or attempt to cause physical harm to another or their unborn by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous ordinance.
Assault-(a) No person shall knowingly cause or attempt to cause physical harm to another or their unborn, (b) No person shall recklessly cause serious physical harm to another or their unborn.
Rape- (a) Having non-consensual sexual conduct with another, or having sexual conduct with a person who’s ability to resist or give consent is substantially impaired because of a mental or physical condition or advanced age.
(b) Have sexual conduct with a person less than thirteen years of age, whether or not the offender knows the age of the other person.
