Traffic Section |

The Traffic Section, under the command of Lieutenant Jeff Sulewski, is comprised of 1 Lieutenant, 1 Sergeant, 5 Patrol Officers, and 2 civilian traffic aides.

| Traffic personnel are assigned to the Central District station. Traffic Section is located in the Safety Building at 525 N. Erie St. |

The Traffic Section is responsible for traffic enforcement, major accident investigations, hit skip accident investigation, taxi and tow truck inspections, abandoned vehicles, parade permits, photo enforcement program, 18 hour parking complaints, traffic crash statistics, and responsible for all documentation for the courts and state pertaining to DUI and SOL arrests.

Radar and Laser technologies are utilized to detect speeders. The Police Department utilizes MPH K-55 radar units and LTI 20/20 Ultralyte Laser Units.

|
Traffic officers are trained Injury Crash Investigators. Many traffic officers are trained as Traffic Crash Reconstructionists. These officers investigate serious injury or fatal traffic crashes. |
